The Sound of Silence

For several days now,
I’ve attempted to blog.
I have opened and subsequently closed countless word docs.
The words just won’t come.

And when they finally do…
I’m scared of what they’ll say.

I am grateful for the silence right now.
It means we are all safe.
We’ve not yet taken that next step.

I am so afraid to break the silence.
